Removing the Headlight Reflectors *(2000+ models)
 Submitted by 03MSKING

Tools:
Philips Screwdriver
Flat Screwdriver
Socket Wrench
Heat gun or hair dryer

1. The first step is to remove your grill which is held on by four tabs on the top and two plugs in the middle. Take your flathead screwdriver and push down on the top tabs and pull out on the lower plugs.
2. Take the socket wrench and unbolt the two bolts on the top of the headlight and the one to the side where the grill was removed.

3. We get into the fender now. There are black clips and a couple of bolts that hold the shroud on. The clips have to be removed with a flathead screwdriver and the bolts with the Philips screwdriver (The whole shroud does not need to be removed…just enough so you can see the back of the blinker.)

4. Unplug the headlight wire and the blinker wire. Now the headlight should be free. There are four screws holding the plastic molding on the headlight. These need to be removed. (Two on the top and two on the bottom).
5. We need to screw the two reflector screws.
6. Then the fun begins with the heat gun and flathead screwdriver. This is what takes the longest. One area at a time, heat up the sealant and take the flathead and slowly pry the back off (It’s ok if you bend the plastic, you won’t see it when it is put back together… the molding you took off earlier will cover it.) The reflector will just pop out once the headlight is apart. Here is that little guy…
7. Now, we put it back together. When putting the back of the headlight, reheat the sealant so it will mold back to how it was as much as possible. Reverse the rest of the steps and this is what you end up with.
